Washington, D.C. – Earlier this week, an Obama-appointed judge with numerous explicit ties to Planned Parenthood in San Francisco held David Daleiden in contempt of court and ordered him and his team to pay a $137,000 fine. David Daleiden is the founder of the Center for Medical Progress who became famous in 2015 for releasing damaging videos revealing Planned Parenthood executives negotiating prices for aborted baby parts.

Washington, D.C.- 122 Members of Congress are urging the Prime Minister of Ethiopia to reconsider his April 21st decision to suspend international adoptions.  The order has left more than 200 U.S. families, and the Ethiopian children they are trying to bring home, in a heartbreaking limbo.

Washington D.C. On June 10, 2016, Congressman Adam Smith (D-WA)and Congressman Trent Franks (R-AZ) introduced bipartisan legislation, The Adoptee Citizenship Act, H.R. 5454, to guarantee citizenship to international adoptees. Similar legislation has been introduced in the Senate, S.2275 by Senator Klobuchar (D-MN) and Senator Coats (R-IN). Often, when children are adopted, the required paperwork is not filed and the children are never naturalized. With the passage of the Child Citizenship Act of 2000, most international adoptees were granted citizenship.
